Vintage Feels

How to style the off the shoulder top.                                                &n…

The bare shoulders trend has been going strong all summer. If you don't own a off-the-shoulder top or dress you are missing out! It has been spotted in retailer stores everywhere, taking the number one spot in trends this year and spiking sales for retailers as it appeals to wide spectrum of female shoppers. It is easily the IT summer trend. I love this one in particular I got from  Dream Girls  boutique in Ocean Beach, because off-the-shoulder shirts have a tendency to slip up at the raise of your arms. However, this one has sleeves that are attached separately with a stitch allowing me to move freely and serve some melanin fierceness to you in this post lol. It is simply the chicest way to show some skin and allows for necklace layering.

Lately, I love the juxtaposition of styling feminine silhouettes with a casual sneaker. Puma has the cutest leisure sneakers that come in a range of colors from pastels to dark hues. I don't own a lot of leisure sneakers so I was excited purchase these at a great discount and add them to my collection. They are super comfy and the color is the perfect coral hue for the summer. (Who do I think I am in this pose? Lol)

I kept the accessories minimal with a thin silver necklace and my favorite cat eye sunnies from Forever21. The simplicity and cool girl vibes of this look is epitome of my style statement. You can catch me running around these Cali streets like this any day.

I love incorporating vintage pieces into my look and making it new again, on a budget of course. The vintage candy apple red Volkswagen just makes for the perfect back drop for this vintages feel look with a twist. I am a savvy shopper and only make a purchase when I see longevity in a piece, being in Cali is not cheap y'all! These Belle and Sky pleated gauchos were only $17 at JCpenney's. In the 70's gauchos were typically in denim. However this new take on gauchos in a great light weight fabric makes them perfect for the warm weather here in Cali and can easily transition from day to night or summer to fall. I love when styles get recycled in a different era and watching how it takes on the era of its time (I can hear my mom saying I remember when we use to wear that). What fashion repeat moments are you obsessing over?

I hope you enjoyed this post!
